On Apple 13 Pro, I Suddenly can’t connect to 2.4 Wi-Fi

Have an AT&T router and was recently trying to add Nest products on the 2.4 Wi-Fi. I was able to do it most of day then suddenly , I get an error message, that it is temporarily unavailable. Been that way for 2 or more days. AT&T says it is an Apple phone problem as they show the 2.4 Wi-Fi and it is working on the home items that are connected to it. Have restarted router, deleted both Wi-Fi on phone and added them back and nothing helps. At a loss.. any suggestions?

Hello BeyondMesoNeedHelp,

We're happy to help. Since you're using a 2.4GHz band, you'll want to check to be sure you've selected the 20MHz channel width to avoid connection and performance issues. Have a look at this information:

Set to 20MHz for the 2.4GHz band
Set to Auto or all widths (20MHz, 40MHz, 80MHz) for the 5GHz band

Channel width specifies how large of a ”pipe” is available to transfer data. Wider channels are faster but more susceptible to interference and more likely to interfere with other devices.

- 20MHz for the 2.4GHz band helps to avoid performance and reliability issues, especially near other Wi-Fi networks and 2.4GHz devices, including Bluetooth devices.
- Auto or all channel widths for the 5GHz band ensures the best performance and compatibility with all devices. Wireless interference is less of a concern in the 5GHz band.

Take care.
