macbook pro 2021 why do i have to hold power button for 10 seconds to turn on MacBook?

Hi, ever since day one of owning my new MacBook pro A2251 whenever I want to turn it on I have to press and hold the power button for +10 seconds to get it to power on.

Boot up, and running it is fast, but the actual power on does not happen until holding power button down for +10 seconds.

This is extremely irritating compared to my previous MacBook Pro and experience with other laptops.

Why is this the case and can I fix it?
