if I purchase a movie from Apple, how many devices can I download it on?

Rent movies can be downloaded on one device, and even streamed on one other device.
Buy movies can be downloaded on multiple devices (10 max, 5 of which can be computers), and streamed on multiple other devices, even at the same time. I don’t have enough devices to reach a limit, if there is one.
Content can be dowloaded on computers and Apple mobile devices. Streaming devices (Fire TV, etc) do not download content, in the sense of a local playable complete file.
You can download the Apple TV app on all of your supported devices, and watch on any of those, even pause and resume on a different one. That system will break with multiple simultaneous streams of the same content, of course. One instance per account can be kept track of.
Accounts are individual, and should not be shared, including for your own sake: It has a pre-approved payment method and all your personal details and other Apple services. You don’t want others messing with that.
