need update to restore iphone
I am trying to restore an iphone and it says need to do update. It wont let me get into the phone to do update through settings. How do I update the iphone so it can be restored?

Hi, do you have access to a Mac or computer with iTunes ? if so you could try restoring your iPhone in recovery mode. Make sure your Mac or PC (iTunes ) is up to date. Connect your iPhone to the computer ,Open Finder on your Mac or iTunes on your PC, then press and hold the Side Button and Volume Down Button at the same time , release them when you see the recovery screen on your iPhone . On your Computer you will see an option to either Update or Restore your iPhone , choose the option you require. Update will install the software without you loosing any data, Restore will wipe your iPhone and reinstall iOS and firmware for your iPhone . This is Apples support page.
