Factory reset

Hey there!

Did you follow these steps to reset your Mac?:

Erase and reinstall macOS - Apple Support

If so, what do you see on the screen?

If it’s still the Apple logo and progress bar, (Or not), If day after so much time, it would be best to shut it down using the power button and turn it on again, at the least to see what’s going on.

You May just see the “Welcome” screen, although if you continue to see the same screen, let us know!

What, exactly, was the process you used to achieve a “factory reset?”

Where in that process has it been “resetting for 8 hours.”

Was FileVault Enabled Before Resetting the computer to Factory Setting ?
