Because of IOS not 14.0
Even though you seem to have already solved your issue, you should know that the iPhone 6 is not compatible with iOS 13 or higher. It can be updated to iOS 12.5.6, no further.
i can’t use phonepe or gpay app in my iPhone 6
If G-Pay requires a version of iOS higher than 12.5.6, you will need a newer device.
