The Numbers User Guide is a rich source of information. This page may be a good place to start:

Change text capitalization in Numbers on iPad - Apple Support

You can disable automatic capitalisation at system level from iPad settings:

Settings > Keyboard > Auto-Capitalisation - set to OFF

Thank you! Another question please! I created a spreadsheet in Numbers and when I went back to open it I get this message;

"couldn't open spreadsheet an error occurred" . I tried to share to my and wife's email but it won't open their either.

I sent to dropbox, still won't open. It shows as Numbers-tef. Have I done all this work for nothing since I can not open it now??

THANKS!
