Music dims randomly on iPhone 14 Pro Max

I just got my iPhone 14 Pro Max and hooked it to my Bluetooth speaker to listen to music while exercising. It’s super annoying that music suddenly dims to an almost absolute zero, and then comes back. I put it in silent mode, same thing. I toggled off the “always on”, and “attention aware features”, same. I removed the sound from every single app I have, same. Turned the telephone off and rebooted, same. Unpaired the Bluetooth device, same. What gives?! I’m sure I’m not the only one experiencing something similar but man, I’m almost regretting buying this new phone!

Hello Pichirolas,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We want your iPhone 14 Pro Max playing music perfectly for you without the unexpected dim.

To confirm, do you mean the music sound volume decreases at this time? Does the same thing happen when not paired to the Bluetooth speaker?

Does this happen when listening to all music, or only when using certain apps? Do you see or hear any other notifications at the time this happens?

Use these steps to double check the volume:

"Adjust the volume in Control Center

When iPhone is locked or when you’re using an app, you can adjust the volume in Control Center.

Open Control Center, then drag the volume slider"

This Apple Support page has the full details: Adjust the volume on iPhone - Apple Support

We hope this helps to isolate and resolve the volume issue.

Cheers!
