Car play won’t change volume

In a 2020 Traverse and when you press the power button it says volume muted but doesn’t mute. When nob is turned it won’t go up or down. Fix your bugs

Apple Car play volume changing issues I have a new 2023 Chevy Colorado and use wireless Apple Car Play. If I’m listening to music at a certain volume and a call comes through or I listen to a text message and then return to the music the volume level is much lower. It hasn’t changed as far as the visual reading of the volume level bar in the display but the actual volume is considerably lower. So now I’m forced to turn up the volume physically to listen to the music. I might get another phone call and hang up and sometimes it stays the same or other times it now comes back extremely loud matching the volume level showing on the volume bar. It also does the same thing if I turn the truck off and then restart it later without remembering to physically adjust the volume level back down before I turn the truck off. Any suggestions to resolve this issue. Thanks

When listening to music on Apple Car Play and a text message comes in, the music doesn't mute and keeps playing while Siri dictates the message. I just purchased a 2023 Toyota RAV4 and noticed this the first day of driving. I have 2018 Honda Pilot where this is not an issue at all. If I touch the message to be read, the music mutes on the Honda. On the Toyota, music continues to play at full level while message is being read, and it is hard to hear this. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

CarPlay - Playing Music has no sound My Apple Car Play suddenly stopped playing Music. It worked the day before. You press play and no sound. Now I can make phone calls. I can use Navigation. I can play music from my phone using Bluetooth Audio. I already tried removing my car from my phone and unpairing. Then I set it back and it's still the same. I change the cable. It's still the same. I have no idea what else to do here. I looked at my car manufacture's webpage and forums and nothing.

This might be a software issue that GM/ Chevrolet needs to address. Especially since your issue occurs when attempting to manually change the volume via the headunits volume knob. If your radio does OTA updates check settings on your radio and see if there is a new update available. You can also try checking for a Traverse owners forum (may be a Chevy forum with a subgroup for Traverse) to see if others are experiencing the same issue. Also…what iPhone and what iOS do you have?
