yes, you can use the superdrive with an M1 Mac. but it will not work if you try to connect it through a dock or hub. it MUST be connected directly to the Mac. and since the superdrive has an USB connector and the MBP only has USB-C port, you will need to use an USB-C to USB Adapter to connect it directly.
