Apple tv remote

On my apple tv remote app I can see the apple tv but it won't connect only if I turn the wifi off. If I turn off the WI-FI on my iPhone xs the remote connect straight away to the apple tv and I can use it. Can someone explain this? The other family members can use the remote app without any issue. I tried log out, unpair reboot but it's the same. Only works with Wi-Fi turned off. How is it even possible?

iPhone XS, iOS 16

if you mean the wifi in the appletv

then maybe your wifi router don't have 5Ghz wifi bridged with wired ethernet and 2.4Ghz wifi (which is likely what your other family members connects to) but yours use 5Ghz
