after i updated my iPhone to iOS 16 it is now not recognizing me touching the screen ie I can't slide up to login i can't slide up to exit a app it will just stick in the middle of the screen when i try to scroll

Yes it was working before I updated it then after the update installed it wouldn't let me swipe up and if i did get access to my phone it would pause sometimes and outright not let me interact with the screen at all
likely due to a screen replacement? Have you updated to iOS 16.0.2? That's supposed to have fixes for screen issues
