Maps are NOT working in Safari after Monterrey 12.6 UPDATE

I recently updated my (mid 2015) mac powerbook and now I am unable to load any map programs (google, mapquest, etc). The page will come up and then immediately turn to a line of pixels (see picture). I tried using other online maps and the same thing happens. I downloaded Firefox and there were no issues. I'm not really interested in switching browsers. Especially since it was working last week. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

ECCowling - I found a solution

  1. Click on Develop at the top menu bar while in Safari
  2. Then go down to Experimental Features and uncheck "WebGL via Metal"

Problem solved

I hope this helps you.
