Are you the Family Organizer in a the Family Group?
Is the card added to the Family Organizer account?
If, so, then the card will be aiutomatically used by all members of the family group, unless the person initiating the purchase has gift card credit balance on their Apple ID. In which case it will use the balance first before charting any other payment method.
