i have a MacBook Air 13-inch mid 2011
and i want to update the software it has the the mac os x 10.7.5 and i want to update it and there’s no updates available I know that this MacBook has another updates so what i should do

It keeps telling me that the installation was successfully but nothing happened
and I can’t download macOS High Sierra it requires macOS version 10.8 or later
Chose Applications from the Finder's Go menu and run the installer.
