I’m unable to delete apps on my iPhone 7 Plus. I do not get the X when I tap on the apps. I can remove apps from my Home Screen but not from the App Library.

Third way: go to Settings / General / iPhone Storage and let the list of installed apps build up (sorted by space occupied). Tap on the desired victim and in the next screen you will have the option to Delete.

Thanks, but that doesn't work either. There is no option to delete the app when I tap on it. It only shows the name of the app, app size and Documents & Data.
Then it is either an integral part of the iOS (what app is it, BTW?) or your phone is managed either thru Parental Control or by your employer/school.
