No caller ID all incoming calls

I have an XsMax and suddenly in last couple of weeks all calls received as coming through with no caller ID. It doesn’t appear to be my phone as I have tried SIM card (02) in other phones including another brand and problem is still the same. I have had a replacement SIM and done everything network provider and apple has advised. Still not solved issue. I have no idea who is calling me even though contacts are stored on my phone. My network provider says it is not a network issue buy a problem with apple phones following latest IOS 16 update. Is anyone experiencing problems.

No it is not a problem with ios16. Nor is it related to the SIM.

Try this whether your contacts are in iCloud or in your chosen email account

(You might want to back up the phone first, and if your contacts are phone only you have no remedy)

Close Contacts app. then for

Contacts in iCloud:

Settings, Your name, iCloud, Turn off contacts

Contacts in another email account:

Settings, Contacts, Accounts

Find the account with Contacts turned on. Turn contacts off

When asked if you want to keep them, choose “delete from my iphone ”

Open Contacts app and it should be empty.

Power the phone off and back on.

Then

Contacts in iCloud:

Settings, Your name, iCloud, Contacts. Turn it On

Contacts in another email account:

Settings, Contacts, Accounts

Find the account with the Contacts again. Turn contacts On

Open Contacts app and it should be re-populated.

Then try receiving calls again
