Can't see add display in display settings?

I have a MacBook Air m1 and a iPad Pro 2016. I want to use universal control but I can't see "add display".

Even though I tried it by holding the option key. Does universal control still available in MacBooks?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.6

See >System Preferences>Dock & Menubar and see about adding Display to the Menubar

see if that makes a difference(?)

Use a single keyboard and mouse between Mac and iPad
