why does Apple provide partial refunds

Hi Everyone

I seem to have an issue, and I hope I can get this addressed, I purchased 2 iPhone 14 Pro Max's, and a Apple Watch Series 8, I opted for pickup, and went into the Apple Store in Singapore, I was told that I can cancel the items, as it was not picked up, and funds would be reversed back to my original payment method, the cancellation had proceeded, and unfortunately it seems like I've received a partial refund, as the original transaction was not reversed, as suggested by the Apple Team Mate, an cancellation is conducted, the transaction would be cancelled and the original transaction would be reversed, but since now Apple has sent in the funds externally, I am losing about $150 per phone, and about $80 for the watch, how do I get this sorted out, since I was told that an cancellation conducted concluding with a transaction reversal, which I had been misinformed?

Please help.

Thanks!
