edit text message

I updated my software. My husband can edit his text messages but so can’t. I’ve tried holding the text message and choosing more and nothing. I don’t receive options to edit. I can’t find settings in messages either to turn it on.

You must have iOS 16 installed on your iPhone.
You can only edit within 2 minutes after the iMessage has been sent. (Does not work on SMS messages)
