Send screenshots to named groups in messages

I used to be able to take a screenshot and send it to a named group in messages before last big iOS update. Now, the group name does not come up and is not recognized when I type it. So I have to add each member each time. Does anyone know why this changed ? How do I get the prior behavior back?

I see this is not limited to sending screenshots. When I start a new text, the group name is not found a there either.

Hi MPLimas,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. There was a recent update of iOS 16.0.3. If you're not updated to the latest version of the iOS software, we suggest doing that. Updating the software help provide software improvements that may help you to populate the group name in the Messages app. If needed, here's how to update the software:

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.

2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.

3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.

4. Choose the software update that you want to install. You can choose to stay on iOS or iPadOS 15 and still get important security updates. Or you can choose the option to upgrade to iOS or iPadOS 16.

The Settings app on iPhone showing options to update to iOS 15.7 or iOS 16.

5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

If that does not help, we recommend to contact Apple Support to review this further. You can contact them through this link here: Apple Support

Kind regards.
