Can I delete a file whilst in Preview?

I often search for files in Spotlight (⌘ + space) then double-click to open them in Preview.

Is there a best way to then delete the file?

Options, things I've considered.

  1. Searching again in Finder
  2. Searching again in Spotlight but choose Search in Finder rather than opening the file
  3. I've tried 'finding' the file in Finder from Preview but do not seem to be able to

There must be an easy way.

Thank you for your help.

If you command-click the filename while in Preview you get a drop down menu showing the path to the file. Click on the folder that contains the file to open that folder. Then delete it. That’s how I always find the file and it’s easy.
