AirPods Pro (Gen 2) self sound volume when switching modes is low

Hello,

I purchased a new AirPods Pro (Gen 2), replacing my Gen 1 pair. I've noticed that the volume of the sound that is played when turning on and off different modes (e.g., Transparency and Noise Cancelling) is significantly low and can barely be heard (normal playback like music is fine).

Tested it with different iPhone volume states and tried to re-pair the device but nothing helped so far.

Any ideas on what could help?

Since you've narrowed it down to your iPhone, have you tried restarting? If not, try restarting your iPhone following the steps for your model listed here.


Is your iPhone (if compatible) updated to the current iOS 16.0.3 version recently released?


These are both good steps to try for unusual behavior that pops up. You may want to reach out to Apple Support by going to Get Support.
