Do you have the Apple TV box, if so, what model? Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support

Or do you have the Apple TV app on a third party device? If so, what device and model? List of Apple TV app-supported devices - Apple

Modern supported devices would always ask for the verification code when needed.

Older devices may need a workaround.

Unsupported devices are, well, unsupported.
