Mac Mail no longer opening links after latest update (Big Sur 11.7.1)

Links in macmail no longer open following this update. I have turned off and restarted my computer multiple times and this has not fixed the problem.

This is the error message:

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.7

If you refer back to the Image that was provided, you will notice the Two Browser ( Safari and Firefox ) are both available.

If the computer has Only Safari installed by default in All Versions of macOS since I joined back in 2004 with oSX 10.4 Tiger.

You mentioned changing the Default Browser in System Preferences >> General.

So what exact Other Browser is Installed on this computer ?

Thank you for your response. Well I have Firefox, Opera, Tor...

Apparently, just by switching the default browser to Safari, and back to FF, the problem has been solved.

The issue here is that Mac mail failed to recognize that the only option was Safari, because it would not offer any other, but just by changing apps it is now opening in my default browser.

Thanks again.
