I am considering going ahead and purchasing the Apple Studio Display to use as a secondary monitor on my 27” iMac Late 2014 iMac 5K. Can someone please share exactly which cable do I need to purchase and from where to make this connection happen? Thank you in advance for your help!

That will not work, because your 2014 iMac does not support a Studio Display.
