Whenever I press the record button in control centre it stops recording when I exit control centre. I’ve tried restarting my phone and I’ve tried a full reset on my iPhone. It used to work before I updated my phone to 16.1 and some say it still works for them. Is this a bug I have to wait out or something I could fix now?

Always on display was the issue oddly enough. Turned it off and it fixed the issue. I can’t seem to replicate it again though. I did do 2 restarts on the phone prior to turning off always on display and I can’t remember if I checked the recording before I turned it off. Either one of those fixed it.
Never mind I found the issue. I turned off always on display and it fixed the issue for me.
