Why can't I set a date for the ios alarm..... Why is the ios alarm so back dated?

They have never included that feature as that ability is included in the Calendar. There are some clock apps in the App Store that let you do that.

I did download the Galarm and it does not ring sometimes. I would really appreciate it if you could recommend me an alarm app that would have dates and rings every time
Sorry, I use the Clock alarms (meets my needs) and Calendar if I need to set one for a later date.
