How can I choose an additional option for my default search engine other than the 5 Safari currently allows?

I would like to use Freespoke on my Mac, but it only allows DuckDuckGo, Google, Yahoo, Bing, and Ecosia. What has to happen for this to be changed?

Apple would need to implement it as a selection. You could help convince them: Feedback - Safari - Apple
