Audio Skipping and Distortion

IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING SIGNIFICANT AUDIO SKIPPING INTERMITTENTLY ON NEW IPHONE? The new iPhone 14 Pro Max on the latest 16.1.1 is still intermittently skipping and distorting audio after factory resetting. It happens on Bluetooth, hardwired, and on several Apple and non-Apple audio apps (most notably with music). It also happens on several different headphone types and speakers. The Apple Store diagnostics show no issues on their scans and yet the phone keeps glitching. It makes phone audio unusable due to the constant distraction and poor quality. This appears to be a hardware issue as it happens without iCloud restores as well and happens if the content is downloaded or streamed. I have been asking for a replacement for weeks now and they keep telling me to call different support teams. This is extremely frustrating.

Hello,

Sorry, I don't have a solution, but can can offer some things to try. First of all, this does not seem to be a wide-spread issue, there doesn't seem to be much "chatter" about it.

1) Is the issue with only with external speakers or headphones? For example, if you play music using the iPhone speakers directly, does the problem occur? If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker

2) Problems with wired speakers are frequently due to a dirty charging port: If your headphones don‘t work with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

3) Wireless speaker issues are commonly due to wireless interference: Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference

4) If you are within the 14-day return window, just return it: Returns & Refunds - Shopping Help - Apple

Note: the special holiday return window.

Let us know how it turns out.

Good luck.
