iPad/Google maps

I’m a visually impaired ipad newcomer. I’ cannot see the roads/background in Google map. Can the contrast be improved. Internet comments suggest not, but surely an apple geek can find a way?

iOS/iPadOS has visual accessibility features that are designed to enhance visibility for visually impaired users:

Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size

In addition to altering text size to better fit your needs, changing one or more of these settings may help:
