Can I update a desktop mac built in 2010. OSX 10.9.5 ? I cannot use chrome anymore.
Double check the year model of your iMac.

If it is a Late 2009 or Mid 2010 iMac, then it can be upgrade to macOS 10.13 High Sierra.
for 10.13 go to > How to download macOS - Apple Support and click on High Sierra 10.13 in blue.
A 2010 iMac can run up to High Sierra 10.13.6.
