I mistakenly deleted a subfolder in my iCloud folder. After I realized this, I went to my iCloud account and attempted the 'Restore Files' function. I have tried the restore on my PC as well as Ipad and each time I get the following message,
'There was a problem loading this content. Try later'
In searching, the last comment on this problem was from 2016. Has anyone encountered this message and if so, any solution?

after some testing, if you delete a file via the icloud app, it will show up in the icloud app under recently deleted. if you deleted a file stored on icloud but using windows file explorer, it does not show up on the icloud app under the deleted option. this is what was confusing me. i would have thought that this would be where all deleted icloud files went regardless of where it was deleted from. This is not true.
after thinking on this, I tried the Windows Trash Can and that is where the deleted files went. I was able to restore from here. i view this as an inconsistency in design. Ok, I can work around this but there should be some clear documentation around this point.

Some additional information, i deleted a file from the icloud app and it appeared on the 'recently deleted' page. I was then able to restore it. the folder in question was deleted via my PC using Explorer and these did not appear on the 'recently deleted' page. Is it possible that icloud files deleted from Window Explorer cannot be restored?
It is f**king ridiculous I've seen this question posted numerous time in the past 10 years and not one of those questions was answered by apple. People need to wake up and walk away. You spend thousand of dollars to be stuck in an ecosystem with **** poor customer support. This exhibit A on why they should enforce monopoly laws in the this country. I have been trouble shooting for months if I ever find the needle in the haystack I'll be sure to let you know.
