If you want to change the region of your Apple ID account, then there are some considerations:

You will have to cancel any ongoing subscriptions,
Your previous purchases (music, movies, books) may not be available in the Store in the new region.
You will need a payment method as issued in the new region.
Some (third party) services restrict access based on geolocation, regardless of any region setting.

It is really intended for users that emigrate long term.
