See the following excerpt from an Apple Support article for information about finding serial number. From: Find your Mac model name and serial number - Apple Support


Product or packaging

Look for the serial number printed on your Mac or its original packaging. For details, see the product-ID page for MacBook ProMacBook AirMacBookiMacMac miniMac Studio, or Mac Pro.

and/or use any internet browser on any device and the following instructions:

appleid.apple.com

    1. Sign in to appleid.apple.com.
    2. Click Devices in the sidebar.
    3. If your Mac is listed on the right, click its name to see its model name and serial number.

  • Find the serial number printed on the underside of your Mac, near the regulatory markings. It’s also on the original packaging, next to a barcode label.
