Try doing a hard reset on the phone and see if that fixes it. If you have a newer phone, press the up volume button, down volume button, and press and hold power button until the phone goes black and the Apple logo appears then let go.

Apple glitchy crap software. Try hard resetting your phone. That worked for me.
Press and quickly release the volume up button. Press and quickly release the volume down button. Press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.
