Trying to set up Apple Watch Series 5 with iPhone 12 Pro
requires a gps cellular apple watch series 4 or later that is running watch OS 7.0 or later. i have a series 5 watch trying to set up with 12 pro phone

That should not be a problem,
Update the iphone to iOS 16.1.2 or later
