User group is greyed and no padlock to Unlock 13.0.1 (22A400)

Hi AnilBagga,

To make change to a user with macOS Ventura 13, you will need to tap on the info icon "i" to the right of the user account. For more information on this check out these resources:

You are in an administrative user account, right?

If you don't get this menu next to the Automatically Login As

give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE 1: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following; 

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts 

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

NOTE 2: if you have a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries connect it with its charging cable before booting into Safe Mode. This makes it act as a wired keyboard as will insure a successful boot into Safe Mode.

Click on the button next to Off in this circle and delete your user account to automatic login to.

When you do that you'l be presented with a popup window to enter your admin account password.

Try using the " List Users " in search box of System Settings

The refer to the image below " " Login windows shows " and adjust as needed

Ah " Login Items " that can be accessed via image below and type login in search box of System Setting

AFAIK - " Automatic Login " and " FileVault Enable " can not be used at the same time
