Please provide details about what is happening.

Do you have both Russian and English keyboards in system preferences > keyboard > input sources?

Which of the three ways of switching keyboards are you trying to use: Control Space, Globe/Fn, or Capslock?

(If you are using an ipad or iphone instead of a Macbook, let us know, since this is the wrong place to ask about them)
