SAFARI does not work on most websites

What is happening to Safari 16.1 in Ventura 13.01? Most websites do not even load even if the content restrictions are disabled in the Safari settings? Everything works on the same iMac Pro in Microsoft's Edge, Firefox, Chrome. WHY is Safari such a junk browser after the latest updates????? I was relying on Safari for all my work, and all of a sudden I am forced to use browsers that I am not so found of to do basic browsing and work. This is ridiculous...is this Ventura pushing Intel-based Macs users to buy M1 Macs or just Apple MacOS turning into a Windows XP -type experience?? Anyone else having these issues?

iMac 27″, macOS 12.4

Hi MacOSX2013

We see you're posting from the  Update to the latest version of Safari page. Here's some information from a different resource you might find helpful for this issue:

"If Safari isn't working as you expect, one of these solutions might help.

  1. Reload the page
  2. Check Safari extensions
  3. Check Safari settings
  4. Test with a private window
  5. Install software updates
  6. Check VPN or other security software
  7. Check network settings"

To get a further break down of each of these steps you can take a look at the full page here: If Safari on Mac doesn't open a webpage or isn’t working as expected

We hope this helps.

Take care.

I did all the above and Safari on Ventura on a 2018 Mac Mini still doesn't work.

All the above included contacting Apple support, and this site is not that:

"If you still need help, please contact Apple Support."

Another point: If you expect the volunteer participants of this site to help you fix your own problem, then you need to post your own question. To do that, click the Ask the Community link above and follow the instructions.

Apple, this is your flagship browser. It doesn't work on the New York Times, Washington Post are two major examples.

A couple of points. One, Apple doesn’t read here for feedback or suggestions. Two, it’s not Apple’s “flagship” browser, it’s their only browser. And three, it works find for NYT and WaPo for most people, I among them.

Fix this.

No one participating in this forum can do that. You will need to continue to troubleshoot. If you want help directly from Apple, use the “Support” link at the bottom left of every page of these forums.
