Safari icon has disappeared from dock -- and not on desktop either. How do I get it back?

The Safari app resides in your Mac's Applications folder. To find it, use the Finder's Go menu > Applications. Or, use the ⇧ ⌘ A key chord.

Launch Safari from Applications, which will cause its app icon to appear in the Dock. Then, drag its icon in the Dock to some other location in the Dock. It will stay there.
