‘USB Accessory Using Too Much Power’ Issue

My Accessories :

an Arturia Keylab 61 (MIDI Keyboard)

a Boss 505 Looper (audio looper)

an Arturia MiniFuse (the Hub that the previous 2 things plug into)

The Hub is the only device that connects into the computer directly (USB C to USB A)

the Computer - a brand new M1 Mac Mini.

when I plug the MiniFuse (the hub) into cpu : all good. Add the Looper : all good. Add the MIDI Keyboard : Get error message from title. Keyboard lights up for a second, then dies.

How can it be “drawing too much power” if the Mac is plugged into the wall?

background : I had this same setup , but with the smaller version of the Arturia Keyboard hooked up to my 2016 Mac Laptop + worked fine.

Upgraded to larger midi keyboard, got the usb power message. Figured the larger unit was too much for a laptop so I broke down + bought the Mac Mini. Expecting a desktop plug-in to compensate for any power issues. But here we are.

just spent $1K on this Mac to solve this issue & it hasn’t. So bummed & confused.

Help?

Each port on the computer is only able to supply so much power whether the computer is connected to a power supply/charger, or whether the computer is using a battery. The type of computer has no bearing on how much power each port can provide. Obviously your setup is trying to pull too much power from a single port on the computer. Either you need to have one or more of these devices supplying their own power, or you need to connect them to different ports on the computer. Or perhaps one of these devices is defective and trying to pull too much power.
