Every time the computer is off and i press a key, it starts up... etc... you know the issue... it's really annoying. i cannot even clean my mac in a safe way. please update the firmware or give as any way to stop this, so it's at least an optional feature.

To clean the Mac simply lock the screen Control Command Q

absolutely nothing bad happens until you enter the correct passwd. Mute the sound if it makes you feel better.

This feature cannot be disabled.

It is probably implemented by the engineers at Apple, because you do not know how to start up a computer, or because you do not know where the power button is.

There is somewhat of a remedy :

Press and hold the left Control and Command buttons with the right Shiftbutton for a total of 7 seconds. Without releasing them, press the Power button and hold them all together for an additional 7 seconds. For your next boot sequence your Mac can only be powered on by using the Power button.

Unfortunately, there is no way to disable this permanently.

Yes I also find this really annoying. If I want my MacBook to wake up from pressing the keyboard or opening the lid then I would just put the MacBook to sleep. Unfortunately, the terminal command to turn Auto Boot off only works on Intel MacBooks.

This is not a solution as you can lock your MacBook if you enter the wrong password by cleaning the keyboard and hitting enter.

The solution is to give us the option to turn off AutoBoot
