Water damage on closed macbook air

I spilled water on my computer but it was closed and I quickly dried it up. I turned it on and the inside was dry. But can I have future problems with it? I'm panicking.

MacBook Air 11″, macOS 10.14

You should create a backup of your Mac immediately, Back up your Mac with Time Machine - Apple Support, then make a Genius Bar appointment for service: Official Apple Support.
