I can not for the life of me, solve this problem. I have 13 cents which I'm multiplying by a whole number and the answer is placed in a currency formatted cell with 2 decimal places to USD.
$0.13 x 192308 = $25,000.04
I can not get the answer cell, formatted to 2 decimal places with USD currency, to display the 4 cents. What am I doing incorrectly? I've spent hours trying to troubleshoot this and it's just not working.
I think the problem is you are mistaking cell formatting for rounding. The value in cell C3 is not 192308. It is set to display rounded to 0 decimals but the actual value in the cell has decimal digits.
The formula in cell D3 is =C3/B3
C3/B3 = 25000/0.13 = 192307.6923...
If you want it to actually be the whole number you are displaying in the cell, you can round to 0 digits.
=ROUND($C3/$B3,0)
then it will be 192308 exactly and 192308*.13 =25000.04

please give some additional input on this issue.
Are the $0.13 and / or 192308 values calculated by some formulas, or are they inputs that you do manually?
If they are calculated it would be very helpful to see the formulas and the cells that are used for the calculation.
Please show a screenshot of your formula that will calculate $0.13 x 192308, is there any rounding included?
