I recently purchased an apple watch se for my 11 year old son. He does not have an iPhone. I have the watch paired to my iPhone through family watches. I am having trouble finding a way to download Apps to his watch? Any thoughts?

They should be able to install them from App Store on the Watch, unless you restricted them or they are age limited.
Or you can install them on your iPhone and they would be available to them in the watch settings on your Watch app for their Watch.
