adding multiple HomePods

My family of 6 (all with individual apple IDs) all received HomePods for gifts. How do we connect/use all of these on one Network or Home screen?

I think your choices are either to try to set them all up as solo "Homes" for each person's room, or the principle Apple user in the home sets them all up to their Home, and invites everyone to share access to the Home. See Share control of your home - Apple Support. Once configured it should be possible to change the default Apple ID that each device will access for Music.
