The home invite never arrives

On invited users phone removing the empty home generates a new empty home automatically so this article is not helpful. The invite never arrives. Does anyone know how to fix this?

This worked for me:

FIX 3: Reset HomeKit via Mobile Config

As of now, this fix, shared by Redditor Flintr is giving out the maximum success rate to the users. So let’s give it a try and then check out the results.

  1. Download the HomeKit Reset mobile config profile [it will wipe out all the HomeKit data].
  2. On the main Setting screen, under your name and picture, it should say “Profile Downloaded.” Tap on it and then tap Install.
  3. Leave the setting app and come back for the “Home” section to appear (for me it’s between “Health” and “Music”)
  4. Reset the HomeKit data by going to “Settings > Home > Reset Configuration”.
  5. Wait until it says something along the lines of “you have no homes to reset”.
  6. Open the Home app, and it should look as if you’ve never used it before.
  7. You will now be able to invite the member again and they accepted the invite with no problem.

Hello aleksi17,

You came through from an article that provides great steps for resolving issues with your Home invites. Let's try to resolve your issue by completing the steps listed here: Share control of your home that are also below.

"If you can't share control of a home

  • If you can no longer connect to a home, or receive or accept a home invitation, learn what to do.
  • To invite people to control your home while you're away and edit permissions for them, you need to set up a home hub. If you don't have a home hub set up, you can only invite people when you're home and connected to your home Wi-Fi network. Matter-enabled accessories require a home hub, such as Apple TV 4K or HomePod mini.
  • If Home has been upgraded to the new Home architecture, you must set up a home hub to share control of your home.
  • You and the people you invite need the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, or macOS.
  • Make sure that you and the people you invite are signed in to iCloud on iPhone, iPad, or Mac. In iCloud settings, turn on Home.
  • Make sure that you and the people you invite haven't blocked each other's phone number or Apple ID. Learn how to manage blocked phone numbers, contacts, and emails on iPhone or iPad and how to manage blocked callers on Mac."

Best regards.
