I am having a problem on my M1 IMac, with my printer ( Epson) going into PAUSE mode every time I try to print from the computer,and I have not been able to solve the problem. Printing from the Iphone or IPad is working normal.

When this started to happen? I faced a similar issue when I migrated my mac to Ventura. My EPSON printer stayed in PAUSE mode for a long time. I saw some notes regarding completely removing the printer, and installing it from scratch - for me it did work.

Is there a "filter failed" message in the printer proxy? Try enabling cups debugging in the Terminal:
cupsctl --debug-logging
and then see, after the printer is paused, if there is anything helpful in the error_log in /var/log/cups.
