All the Apple Notes are Lost connected to an Gmail account

Hello,

I have 3 folders under my notes app on my macbook. Icloud, google and on my mac (local)

Google one seems top be connected one of my work office google account. Some of most important notes where there in this folder. While figuring to change font settings for this notes folder, I went to System Preferences -> Internet Account -> And selected the gmail account associated with this folder. There it showed a message (something around authentication when I clicked on details option) and gave a link to re-authenticate and took me to gmail window for login. Once I authenticated using correct credentials it asks for few permissions example -> contacts, email etc..I allowed all. It brought me back to the account screen

Then I went back to my notes and suddenly in front of me whole notes under that google folder disappeared and started showing 0 notes in that folder. I went back to my gmail account where I observed there was no notes folder (as mentioned in few articles it should appear). Once I created a new note in google folder on my mac, now notes folder is appearing in my gmail account with the note that I created but all the previous ones are not there. Just the new one.

Please help me with the recovery of those notes, They are very important and years of hard work.

I contacted Gmail Support and they are saying its a glitch at Apple notes app.  Gmail is just a container that the iOS Note app uses to save information. What happens to that saved information is totally up to the app.

Detailed information in this Support ticket ->  https://support.google.com/mail/thread/195653954?hl=en

I see many threads for this issue and this has been existing more than 3 years. What can be done here to recover the lost notes. Do we keep a temporary copy of those notes on the mac and from where it can be recovered?

This seems to be exact issue as mentioned in this thread -> Lost Notes Updates - Apple Community

Seems after updating the password, it over-rided my notes on for gmail folder and since in the beginning I had no notes, basically it has overwritten my all un-synced notes from a year or so to empty notes.

What the resolution for such scenario? Does apple stores a cache or something of the gmail account based notes?
